I so loved having my feet done that before I left on Thursday, I booked myself in with Tabitha for a permanent polish (gotta look good, here in New York!). I've been meaning to do this since we introduced it but just haven't gotten around to it. Truth be told, I feel guilty indulging in myself when there is so much work and home stuff to be done. BUT, I am learning, slowly, that by taking care of myself, I am much better equipped to take care of everyone (and everything, ie Tiber) more effectively.
For those of you who don't know, we now offer permanent polish - have for quite a while now. It is a different type of nail polish. It is painted on with a brush, cured under lights and DOES NOT CHIP!! You heard correctly! It doesn't chip! AND, as soon as the last coat is cured, its dry. So you cannot wreck it. It doesn't matter if you bang your nails on the table, have to go to the bathroom or blow your nose immediately after your service (which happens to me every time, without fail!).
Your nails will stay beautiful for weeks! It looks like a freshly applied manicure until you have it taken off. Now, that brings me to the other point - it should be professionally removed. Many people (Les, this includes you!) like to peel it off before they go for their next service, however, it is much better for your nail if you allow a professional to remove it.
What happens is that as your nail grows, the polish moves with it, leaving the bottom of your nail, unpainted. So, if your nails grow quickly, as mine do, I will probably have to go back in about three weeks. If your nails grow more slowly, you might be able to go a month - with your nails looking freshly done! It's SOOO fantastic!
This is what my nails looked like as soon as they were done (well, actually, a few hours later). I will post a picture of them again next week so you can see the difference. I love that they are No Maintenance and I always look professional! For those of you who love the look of a french manicure can now have it for weeks without the white chipping or dulling! I cannot stop talking about how much I love this!
Anyway, we offer it at both our locations but because spots fill up quickly (it takes a bit longer than a regular manicure), make sure to book quickly and before you leave for your next appointment to guarantee you can get in.
Just for the record, Tabitha did my nails and did an absolutely fantastic job! She is very much a perfectionist and you can tell when you look at my nails. Of course, our entire team is fantastic - which is why it is so difficult to get in to see them! Quality speaks volumes!
(Oh, and I haven't forgotten about dishing on our time in New York. I'm saving it up for next week. Tune in to see some pic's.....)
Enjoy the weekend!
