I have a confession - I'm obsessed with this blog. I think about it all the time and what I'm going to write about. When I'm lying in bed, trying to fall asleep, I start putting together the next day's entry. I envision what it's going to say and what my tip will be. Then, I wake up and my life gets in my way! I have decided I will start posting late at night, when the kids are asleep and when I can actually breathe and think because once morning hits, it's full on GO!
When I'm putting this together in my head, I know exactly what I'm going to write about and what my tip will be. When I wake up, something always happens that changes what I write about. Every time! It's almost like this blog has a purpose of it's own and I am simply the conveyor of it's message. Today, the tip of the day came through loud and clear as I checked through my emails. Those of you who visit here everyday will notice something new. Doesn't this look GREAT!! It is thanks, of course, to Kal, creator of all our spectacular images and inspiration generator to so many. It is from her that today's tip was inspired but applies to many many people. First, THANK YOU Kal for making this so much more than just words. I have a difficult time expressing my thoughts in anything other than text. You take my thoughts and create a beautiful picture that I think touches people more than mere words ever can. Our senses are so powerful and bring such joy to our lives - touching something soft, smelling something delightful, tasting something sweet, hearing a child laugh, seeing a beautiful picture. All of these touch something inside of us and hold on, never too far from our thoughts. What Kal does for us is brings our words into existence, creates the emotions we want people to experience. She brings the Tiber River experience to life. THANK YOU!
LIFE WELL LIVED TIP #6 - INVEST IN FRIENDSHIP - We all know life is BUSY! The older we get, the busier it gets. I've been listening to my mom talk to a few of her friends who have retired and they all say the same thing. They thought they would have so much time when they retired, but they find they are busier than ever. The days always seem to get shorter and shorter! It's very easy to neglect those around you, especially your friends, because they are the ones who understand, who will stick by you no matter how little you see of them. I know. I have a few friends who I don't see nearly enough but who are still dear to me. I have a few other friends who I see more frequently, but it's always work related. We haven't had time to go and just be friends, not co-workers! I REALLY need to change this! Our friends bring something invaluable into our lives and to lose them because we are too busy makes our lives less full. My tip for today is to do something with your friends. Friends you see all the time, but don't really get to enjoy, or friends you rarely see at all. A new person you met that you think "I really like them. We could be great friends." Invest in them. Find an hour for a walk, a cup of coffee, a glass of wine, a dinner, whatever. It doesn't have to be big or elaborate or even long. It just needs to be meaningful to you. Your life will be well lived with friends in it. I will leave you with a quote that struck home when I read it. I wish you all a day filled with friends!!
"Each friend represents a world in us, a world possibly not born until they arrive, and it is only by this meeting that a new world is born." - Anais Nin.
You are welcome! Keep up with the wonderful blog! AND GET IT advertised in the store so you can have a bigger audience!

Ok Girl! I'm turning into some kinda blog stalker by commenting every day, lol. It's just that I really appreciate your tips. I needed this one today. I have a couple of friends who have been on my mind and I haven't talked with them for a while. I'm going to make a point to do that today.
:) Smiles!
