Well, we've had quite the week at our DeLuca/Humble abode! It started on Saturday night with Bella getting sick, and has continued through Lucas and now to me. We've spent alot of time in the washroom and in bed! I am starting to feel a little more normal though, thank goodness! I have to say THANK YOU! THANK YOU!! to Les for all your work at our facility. It's invaluable and I appreciate it more than I can say!
Big Big excitment yesterday! Elena and Justin bought a house - and it's just down the street from us!! WOO HOO!! My little Bella was so determined that her Auntie would be back from BC when she turned 8 AND that she would buy a house that she could bike to - and I truely believe that her staunch belief that this would happen, made it happen. Oh, the power of the mind.
LIFE WELL LIVED TIP #5 - NEVER DOUBT THE POWER OF YOUR THOUGHTS! Be they good or bad, postive or negative, your thoughts affect more than just your mood. They affect your reality!! Your reality IS how you perceive it to be. If you believe yourself to be successful, happy and comfortable, that's what you are, because you believe it to be true. If you see yourself as always wanting, lacking, unhappy, unsatisfied - guess what? That's exactly how your life is. You have the power to change your life for good or bad. It's certainly not easy but it is entirely up to you. I found out a few days ago that an old friend of mine has cancer and will be starting chemotherapy in a few weeks. Things certainly haven't been easy for her but what she focused on was the positive - she wouldn't lose her hair, she'd only get mildly nauseous, it's only once a week. Rather than focusing on all the scary aspects of what's she's been through and will go through, she focused on the positive. I was blown away by her courage and inner peace. I'm sure she doesn't feel that way all the time, but it shows me she isn't going to let it get her down.
My point with this is that there are always negatives and positives and how you think about them affects how you live your life! We can't be upbeat and positive 100% of the time (it's that balance thing again!) but we can have better lives by changing how we think! AND, if my Bella has shown me anything, it's that you CAN affect your life just by thinking good thoughts!! Thanks Bella!
I wish everyone a happy, happy day!
I agree with you 100%! I even wrote a post about the same thing a few days back. I've been thinking a lot about our thoughts and attitudes. It seems like such a small thing but it truly can have a great impact on our lives. And no matter how tough things might be, there is always something to be thankful for. We just have to choose to look for it.
Thanks for the great post! Very inspiring.
:) Smiles!

Rock and roll Adriana - I added some graphics to your blog to get things rolling. THINGS CAN BE CHANGED. I feel like a bit of a criminal just dropping in and changing stuff... BUT, I wanted you to highlight your tips (which they are now) because I think they are so great. I also want you to try to highlight a product (along with a picture) every week or month. Maybe some kid pictures on the sides? Maybe the "So-and-so's Favourite Product" on the side with their picture... just keeping it fresh. LOVE your blog!
